Para?Functionalization of N?Substituted 4?amino[2.2]paracyclophanes by Regioselective Formylation

چکیده
Herein, we report a simple and convenient procedure to prepare para-disubstituted [2.2]paracyclophanes in straightforward manner. Our approach relies on regioselective formylation of N-substituted 4-amino[2.2]paracyclophanes, which allows an easy access series products incorporating reactive aldehyde function para the electron-donating group. These compounds can be engaged variety orthogonal late-stage derivatization processes involving either carbonyl group or amine function, serve as precursors rapidly more complex paracyclophane derivatives. Control planar chirality is also possible by performing kinetic resolution key racemic intermediates through asymmetric transfer hydrogenation. The run synthetically useful scale, thus confirming practical applicability our method.
